Won't somebody else sort out the music for me? No! Neither your Registrar nor your Vicar can be relied upon for musical guidance. And civil wedding venues tend to be good at hosting your wedding, not at suggesting music. How and when can I use these CDs? Firstly listen to them in comfort and at leisure, to decide which tracks you like. Then go to the venue/church with a CD player, put the chosen tracks on, and see how they sound inside the building - how do they 'fit', what ambience do they create? Practice walking in and out to the pieces. Finally, you can use the CDs on the Big Day, if you are not having live music, or there is no organ/choir in the church. I might have some of these tracks at home, or my parents might; why don't I just listen to those? Well you could. But are you sure of what you or other family members have at home? Do you really want to spend all that time wading through? Do you know what you're looking for? And presuming you do all this, what will you do with a track you really like that's 7 minutes long? There's a piece of music I once heard which I really like. What if it's not on your CDs? That would be a pretty unlikely occurrence, given that there are around 100 different pieces on our CDs. But if that were the case, then ring us up and try singing it to us ! Can't I have what I like at a civil wedding? No - all the music must be non-religious. Your Registrar has to approve your choice. All our tracks have been approved for use at civil ceremonies. Can I have music at a registry office wedding? Absolutely. It's encouraged - gone are the days of dry dusty registry office weddings. I'm getting married abroad, so I won't need this, will I? True, if you're having a virtually silent wedding, otherwise
there is even more reason to buy the civil wedding CDs. This will ensure
that when you do arrive at your location you can have music that you like
and have chosen, rather than whatever (if anything) may be supplied for
you. |
