About Wedding Music Records (WMC)
WMC Records was born in 1997 to meet the needs of bridal couples faced with the choice of deciding what music to have at their wedding ceremony. It has since moved beyond this remit to become a 'special occasion' label, so that as well as a number of wedding CDs we also produce music for toddlers and babies.
It is a partnership between David Guest and Andy Truslove.
David worked as a professional singer for a number of years, but increasingly found that he was being asked to organise musicians for events as much as he was being asked to perform personally! He founded The Wedding Music Company in 1990 to meet this new demand, and the company now supplies professional musicians to over 300 weddings each year. David is also a Director of MfB(UK), which provides music and entertainment for corporate events.
Andy is less of a musical genius, but has spent most of
his working life in the marketing and communications field. He hopes he
has some idea of what people want from wedding music CDs, in terms of
content, style and delivery. WMC Records came about as a result of the
time-consuming frustrations he endured searching for ideas for the music
for his own wedding.
